HAUPPAUGE, New York — SUSA FC revealed the club's first three players for its 2018 inaugural season.

Defender Rebecca Raber, forward Kristin Desmond and midfielder Amber Birchwell have signed with SUSA FC, the club announced Friday.

Raber, who played this past winter for FF Lugano 1776 in Switzerland's top division, was the 2017 UWS East Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

Desmond finished her four-year career at Hofstra University last fall. She was named United Soccer Coaches Third-Team All-American after leading her team to the 2017 Colonial Athletic Association's regular season and tournament titles. She led Hofstra in scoring with nine goals in 2017.

Birchwell, a rising sophomore at Providence, started 18 of 19 matches during her freshman season. She scored two goals and was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team.

SUSA FC plays its first match June 2 when it hosts New York Athletic Club.
