Week 4 is officially in the books for the East Region.

In the Colonial Conference, Legacy W76 stands alone as the top thanks to a 5-0 win over Old Dominion Cesena USA on Saturday. Legacy’s Sarah Segan was on fire the entire match, assisting Sarah Rhiel’s opening goal in the 30th minute, adding a goal of her own in the 40th, and a second goal to seal the win in the 2nd half. Legacy W76 now sits two points clear of second place Virginia Beach City FC, which drew 2-2 against Washington Spirit Reserves.

The Rhode Island Rogues have not only joined the WPSL but made a huge impact, winning both of their first two matches. Miranda Peloquin scored the first WPSL goal for her club in the 11th minute against the NJ Wildcats. Mariah Kaiser added a second in the 85th minute. The next day, against New York Athletic Club, Mariah Kaiser scored a hat trick with her first goal coming just four minutes into the match. These results leave the Rogues atop the Metropolitan Conference, three points clear of NJ Wildcats and SUSA FC.

The season began with a bang for Penn Fusion SA WPSL, with a 3-2 win over Philly Fever on Thursday and a 4-1 win over Lehigh Valley Tempest on Saturday. Penn Fusion and Lehigh Valley are now at the top of the Mid-Atlantic Conference table, each with six points.

The weekend proved particularly wild in the Ohio Valley Conference with eight of nine clubs playing and three clubs winning on the road. Steel City FC hammered out a 4-1 home win over Indy Saints, Cleveland Ambassadors won big over AAFC Lumberjills, and Motor City FC put an end to Columbus Eagles FC’s unbeaten streak. Motor City’s Madison Alexander scored the solitary goal in the 73rd minute, giving her club the win on the road. Cleveland and Columbus now sit atop the table with seven points apiece, followed by Motor City FC with six.

East Region action continues this Thursday, June 7, with Old Dominion Cesena USA hosting Washington Spirit Reserves and Philly Fever hosting Penn Fusion SA WPSL.
