OKLAHOMA CITY – The Women’s Premier Soccer League, the largest women’s soccer league in the world, has announced the 2018 All-Conference teams for the West Region.
WPSL Champion Seattle Sounders Women lead all West Region clubs with seven players on the Northwest All-Conference team. Seven West Region clubs are tied for second with four players on their respective all-conference teams, including Canadian expansion club TSS Rovers and Pac North champion Fresno FC Ladies
The players on the West Region All-Conference teams attend or have graduated from colleges across 22 states and two Canadian provinces. The Pac-12 Conference has nine of its 12 universities represented on the West Region All-Conference teams.
Clubs within each of the four conferences nominated players to determine their respective All-Conference team. The all-conference teams for the remaining three regions will be revealed throughout the week. For more information, visit wpslsoccer.com.
The WPSL is in its 22nd season and is the largest women’s soccer league in the world with more than 100 clubs from coast-to-coast. WPSL rosters feature elite collegiate, post-collegiate, international and standout prep student-athletes. Many of the United States’ most accomplished women’s players have played in the WPSL, including household names such as Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach, Megan Rapinoe, Julie Foudy and Brandi Chastain.
